Ballymun Animal Caring Association (BACA) was established by the local community, supported by philanthropic organisations and Fingal County Council, with this specific aim in mind. CSA were appointed as architects for the development. A compact design was developed providing stables, paddocks and supporting facilities which provided a secure and community orientated facility with a focus on balancing functional design with a sense of place.
