This project consisted of the extension, refurbishment and modernisation of an existing 1960’s residence. The design presents a new two storey extension onto the generous garden to the south facing rear of the property. The orientation and set out of the kitchen/ living/ dining aims to connect the living spaces with the garden consisting of an extensive lawn anchored by a mature apple tree. A high standard of thermal performance was a key deliverable for our clients and is provided to the property utilising a high standard of airtightness and an air-source fed heating system. A modern, colourful palette was chosen for the internal fit-out with brick, tile and painted timber finishes adding a warm and playful sense to the living spaces.
