Despite the restrictions of the site extents, a very substantial entertainment basement is provided under the courtyard illuminated from above with natural light by ground level structural glazing and containing a cinema room, bar, sauna and steam room. The building is richly detailed using a contemporary palette of materials that sensitively integrate with the period details of the original coach house.
